Impending Crisis.
My mum got a germ infection on her left eye. She got the infection 2 days ago, and now it's spreading towards the right side of her face. And her face no looks a bit puffy. I'm worried. Very worried. She's not the kind who believes in a doctor, unless the doctor is worthy of being trusted. Yesterday she went for a check-up at a clinic, took the medicine prescribed, and today, her condition worsen. So, anyone have a good idea what I should do?

What kind of infection is it?? Sorry to hear and sorry for not knowing bout it until now!!.. I hope it's not something serious!!..
Has she been prescribed some antibiotics? Make sure she finishes the whole course.. It is not uncommon for an infection to get worse after a day or two from onset of antibiotic treatment... Antibiotics take time to work.. Just make sure that she doesnt stop taking it over a belief that the antibiotics were the ones responsible for making the infection worse..
Otherwise.. keep the infected area clean.. Dont touch it with dirty hands.. Dont scratch it even if it turns out to be itchy..

thank you, ihab and raf, for your concern. i'm getting very worried, not just because of her infection, but also because of her stubbornness. it seems that she plainly refuse to hear my words. perhaps because i'm still jobless (well, if that's the case, then she's being unreasonable). currently she's on traditional medication (don't worry, no bomoh or pawang or jampi were involved). already told her to take the antibiotics. hopefully she will. else i'll just stop talking.
